  1. No one uses carbon fiber correctly. It might be lb. for lb. as strong as steel. But carbon fiber is much lighter. So you can’t use carbon fiber at the same thicknesses as steel. It wouldn’t be anywhere near as strong as steel. It’s lb. for lb., not thickness for thickness.

  2. Ok that detail idea is actually sick. Gives you some carbon look without having the whole hood look black and out of place
