  1. Was literally just thinking, “isn’t Sam supposed to be putting out a Super GT video soon?” I’d like to think I manifested this one. Great content as always!

  2. I love the Aston Martin DBS, color is out of this world, styling and not had many out there compared to the continental

    1. It is a fabulous colour and a great spec however this car has lost £80,000 in 1 year. Think I’d cry if I was the original owner…….

  3. The Bentley is the one for me. It’s just perfect, both space and design. The interior is also beautiful and timeless!

    1. The old GT’s were kinda “meh” for me but, the new ones. Forget about, they’re just fantastic.

    2. Really, for me it’s by far the worst looking, there’s just no angle in which it looks good! I’d be straight in Aston.

    3. @Turbo Ray I can agree on the fact that the Aston has better exterior design, but the continental is way more elegant and smart looking on the inside. It’s also the better all rounder

    4. Given my age, 72, and the age of the people riding with me I’d go with the Bentley over the DBS. Even Sam had trouble getting in and out of the back seat of the DBS.

  4. The uniqueness of the Aston Martin DBS package is the one I would go with! Great color combo and a V12. 💚👊

    1. Came to say the same thing, The “Q” just makes it that little bit more special, and it sounds great. I don’t mind the pops and burbles, lol

    2. @Glenn Pearson  Hobbits are people, too, lol. The kids will fit and just make friends with short people. I wonder if 5’10” would fit because he could take me.

  5. Love the video! Happy Easter! I can’t stop thinking, whether depreciation should be factored in, because then in the head to head race the DBS might take the (clear?) win over the Bentley…

  6. Since this is going to be your family car and you’re trading in the F type for it. I’d be interested in Viki’s point of view. After her input and drive the world, and that was fabulous with the both of you. This would be a perfect time to bring her back to the channel for the family consultation on the new car. For instance, she may have to ride back there with your daughter at times. How comfortable will she be in the rear seat of the Aston or Ferrari?

    1. She will also care about safety, which rules the Aston out! Out of the four, I really doubt the need to ask her. Only one of the four tested is potentially suitable. However, there are other options, especially used, like the Ferrari GTC4Lusso. Then again, as you say, what if the wife needs to ride in the back with the baby? Maybe the back seats need to be a bench, rather than two individual back seats? Therefore Sam would need to look for cars that offer a five-seater configuration.

Maybe Sam needs to come to terms with buying a four-door super GT, like a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, which offers a 4+1 configuration? There are good reasons why most families choose the kinds of cars they do. Maybe a four-seat two-door coupe doesn’t really work until the kids are of a certain age?

    2. Just bought a Maserati QP perfect family supercar, fits the missus both kids luggage and pushchair!

    3. Ghibli Trofeo or QP with the Ferrari V8 would be a great familiar car, my daughter loves our Ghibli.

  7. Not to forget, now with the Roma Spider being introduced. All of these cars (if not near enough identical variants) also have convertible versions of the cars. So you get to pick the car you want, and whether you want it as a convertible as well.

  8. I think the Aston would be a great choice for you Sam with both practicality, personality, looks/drama

    1. What about safety?! Remember the reason he’s looking for such a car, even if Sam also seems to have forgotten. And what if the wife also needs to ride in the back with the baby on a long journey?

  9. I’ve driven more than 10k km in the Turbo S, and it really isn’t the soulless machine that Sam and some people think it is. On long trips, it’s not as comfy as the others but it is definitely a very comfy ride for an amazingly sharp-handling sports car (the others don’t come close in terms of handling experience). It trades a bit of comfort and charisma for pure fun, whereas the others are a bit less fun but more comfortable and charismatic. It really comes down to what the owner wants. Oh, and amongst these, it’s definitely the best value for money.

    1. Just seems like an absolute no brainer. When you consider price, the turbo s has no competition

  10. Love the spec on that DBS, that interior is incredible and the exterior is classically beautiful, definitely would be my pick.

  11. I think you should consider checking out the new Maserati Granturismo as well – It’s AWD so perfect for all year round, rear seats have a good amount of room, still has plenty of performance (550 hp in the Trofeo version), and it looks exotic.

Only downside is it’s a V6 vs a V8 or V12. However, it’s the same Nettuno V6 engine that you find in an MC20 so I’m sure it won’t disappoint!👌

    1. Good suggestion, except for two things: 1) Sam hates the sound of the Nettuno V6; 2) Sam buys on finance where residuals dramatically affect deposits and monthly payments.

  12. Well as already mentioned, we’d like to hear Vicki’s input. Whilst it’s your F Type your replacing, someone will be in the back seat at somepoint. I think you narrowed it down to 2 cars tbh between the Bentley & the Aston. Just depends on which 1 all 3 of you will enjoy, without going nuts in the twisties. Let’s be honest isn’t that what the GT3 is for?

  13. Considering your long distance drives in all kinds of weather, I’d say the Bentley is a better bet. The Aston is a great car (though I’m not keen on the spec you drove) but the RWD will be less _sure footed_ in some conditions.
Which would I pick? The one with the better sound system! LOL (Since the DBS featured didn’t have B&O, I’d take the Conti as it’s got Naim)

  14. The spec on that DBS is INCREDIBLE!!! The color is gorgeous, the interior is beautiful, and with the carbon roof/pillars, whoever specced that car absolutely has class and taste!!
